Turtle Doves and Bullfinches from the car park get the tour off to a good start! |

Tim getting up close and friendly with some Common Spotted-orchid, Pyramidal Orchid, Knapweed Broomrape, Wild Thyme and Sainfoin were some of the other plant highlights. |
|
The group walk along Bokerley Ditch finding numerous Whitethroat, Yellowhammer with the song of the Skylark filling the sky! A few Linnet and Lapwing were also seen. |

Dark Green Fritillary - Lots of this butterfly were seen along with Brimstone, Small Tortoiseshell, Marbled White, Small Heath, Meadow Brown, Common Blue, Small Blue, Large Skipper and Small Skipper. |

Martin Down is a glorious place to visit with plenty of other interesting flora and fauna to look at during this quiet time for birding. Many birds are busy feeding young at this time and far less vociferous and far more secretive! |

BIRDS SEEN: TURTLE DOVE, REED BUNTING, CUCKOO, BULLFINCH, Yellowhammer, Skylark, Linnet, Whitethroat, Blackcap, Lapwing, Red-legged Partridge, Kestrel, Buzzard, Swallow, Chiffchaff, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Rook, Carrion Crow, Song Thrush, Blackbird, Starling, Woodpigeon and Magpie. THANKS TO BLACKMOOR VALE RSPB, WHO MADE US FEEL VERY WELCOME! A VERY WARM , FRIENDLY GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO WE HOPE TO SEE AGAIN IN THE FUTURE! |

Blackneck - This was the moth highlight for Simon! Chimney Sweepers were also plentiful as were the Burnet moths. |
